Who we are
Welcome to the Saginaw Firefighters Local 102 Web Site. We are located in Saginaw, Michigan, approximately 90 miles north of Detroit. We are Michigan's First International Association of Fire Fighters affiliate. We are also a member of the Michigan Professional Firefighters Union and the Michigan AFL-CIO.
We currently have 50 uniformed members, ranging from Firefighters, Fire Engineers, Lieutenants, Captains, Training/Safety Officer, Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Marshal and Battalion Chiefs, all dedicated to the goal of ensuring we have fair wages, decent hours and safe working conditions. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Our union strives to be a part of our community by participating in and donating to local, state and national events such as the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, Arson Watch, the Annual Memorial Day Parade, the Cinco De Mayo Parade, the East Side Soup Kitchen, the H.O.S.T. program (a mentoring program), visiting schools and many other civic and charitable events.
